The time has come for TCG Home to move into open beta! We also have a new feature that is now live on the beta, so why not try it out right away? And you’ll also be able to meet us at the biggest MTG event in Europe this year: MagicCon Barcelona. Let’s get started!
The TCG Home Open Beta
Open beta means that our platform is still in development and this is not the final product yet. Because of this, Magic is still the only supported game for now, and we are still busy building some upcoming features and improving the current ones. That said, you can already add cards via our search, filter them, view info through our various collection views and organize your collection with our newest feature: Tags.
Tags — A New Way to Organize Cards
This new feature takes advantage of how much you can go into detail if you manage your collection with TCG Home. Since we track each card individually, you can assign tags to any specific card you own, making it even easier to never lose track again. Tags are extremely customizable so you can really organize cards in any way that you want. We have made a short video demonstration where we show you just a few of the endless possibilities offered by tags!
This is just our first attempt at introducing tags to the live system. We’re confident that with the help of everyone in our beta test we can find many ways to improve this feature and discover even more useful ways to implement it. You can definitely look forward to more updates revolving around tags! And you can sign up for the open beta right here.
TCG Home at MagicCon Barcelona
You can meet us at this year’s MagicCon Barcelona from July 28-30 — that’s in two weeks! If you’re coming to this biggest European MTG event of the year, let us know on Discord, where we made a #magiccon Channel just to connect with other community members who might also be there. You can find our booth in the vendor area next to our friends from TokyoMTG. If you’re there, don’t miss stopping by because we will have some nice surprises in store!
An Update from the Machine Room ...
This week one of our developers surprised us when he tried to find out which cards of a Standard deck he already had in his TCG Home collection ... and ended up with a functional first draft of the decklist matching feature! Of course it's going to receive our beautiful signature design before it goes into beta testing but it already works well enough that we're going to move forward with it in our development.
Decklist matching
Decklist matching is an upcoming TCG Home feature that’s going to be really rewarding for everyone who keeps their collection up to date on the platform. This feature compares a given decklist to your collection and shows you which cards from the deck you already own and which ones you’re still missing!
There’s more like this to come and we hope you’re as excited as we are for these things to become available bit by bit.
If you want to see everything as it develops and influence how TCG Home gets made, sign up for our open beta for free!
