In this section you can find answers about upcoming features, further developments and the future of TCG Home.
Eventually, we would like to support all games that are still relevant to the TCG scene. For any game to be added, the most important thing we need is a reliable and complete source of card data that we can access. And of course there needs to be enough demand from the community to justify the work we put into making a game available. We are currently interested in adding games like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Flesh and Blood or the One Piece TCG (more details on our planned games for 2024 coming soon). However, don’t get your hopes up for your favorite TCG that went out of print 15 years ago 🙂
We want to have a card scanning feature! That said, developing one with the quality standards that we’ve set for ourselves is going to be a lot of work and we haven’t started that process yet. However, we still want to offer this feature eventually and we will share updates as soon as we make progress in this direction.
When it’s done. Our priority is making a good product, not making a product quickly. That’s why we involve the community at every opportunity, so we can get a feeling of when TCG Home is ready. Until then, we’re committed to improving whatever we can. That said, we are optimistic to complete the Beta in 2024.
A lot. We have ideas for many more things than we have the resources to realize in the short term. As always we’re very open to community feedback, so if there is a feature you think a platform like ours should have, please let us know. The following list contains a few of the ideas we’ve had. This list is not comprehensive and for many of these things, we don’t know yet if we can do them, only that it would be cool to do them:
- Showroom and sharing
- Friend list and social features
- Collection progress tracker
- Smart suggestions (”buy this card to complete a new deck” or “you might like this card for your collection”)
- Tournament system, round timer, life counter
- Lend/borrow tracker for cards you temporarily give to friends
- Digital trade binder
- Importing inventory from a marketplace to collection
- Auto-import of cards you buy at a marketplace
- Decklist integration to official tournament software
